I ran across a few articles about college radio station funding, including a
piece about the Arizona station
KAMP that had a
positive outcome with a student referendum vote, but still must gain approval at an upcoming Board of Regents meeting. Also, University of Utah station
KUTE-AM got some extra cash from the university after simply making a pitch--that's kind of inspiring! They are in the midst of updating their website and figuring out new call letters, as they found out KUTE was taken by another station.
This is good news. KSCL made headway as well this year. We grew from a student fee of 7.5% (media) to 15.5%. It was very exciting, yet I'm not as happy at the large changes among our print media.
