Indie in India

The discussion of indie spans the globe, as this posting about a conference presentation at Freed.In called "Independent Music Ecosystem" about Indian indie music site RadioVerve attests. This presentation looks at the many definitions of indie and focuses on indie being equated with artists maintaining their copyrights. Freed.in is dedicated to the open-source movement and their website states that one of the goals of the event this week in New Delhi is "promoting freedom in technology, software and other related fields, and personal privacy." This event also featured a presentation about community radio.
